SP Consultation Group

AUGUST 20, 2020 - NOVEMBER 5, 2020

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute is pleased to announce an online consultation group with Senior Faculty member Lana Epstein, MA, LICSW.

The group will be limited to 20 Level II graduates and will consist of a series of four monthly online consultation meetings. Our focus will be the treatment of attachment-level wounds in clients who have resolved issues of childhood trauma.

Lana will help participants apply state of the art techniques, including but not limited to Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, to understand and economically treat early attachment misfirings.

In each two-hour meeting, there will be time for participants to present four cases or clinical questions and still allow time for discussion as a group. And, each meeting will be recorded so that the material can be reviewed if you missed something or want to hear it again.

Sample topics that may be covered in case discussion

  1. Strengthening External and Internal boundaries

  2. Working with Child States/Parts

  3. Somatic Interventions

  4. Managing resistance

  5. Working with shame

  6. Integrating the work
