Training Detail Minneapolis, MN Advanced Integrative Training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy - Online MAY 4, 2019 - OCTOBER 4, 2020 Due to COVID - 19, this training schedule will be revised. The Advanced Integrative Training in SP consists of three components: 1) Skills Consolidation: Trauma (SCT) - Online 2) Skills Consolidation: Developmental (SCD) - Online 3) Advanced Integrative Training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy - Live Both the Skills Consolidation parts of the course are online, self-directed, self-paced components which support the consolidation of knowledge and skills introduced in the two basic SP courses for trauma and developmental work to prepare the learner for certification in SP. The SCT consists of 13 basic skills units, and SCD consists of 16 basic skills units, that guide the learner from SP Foundations through Essential Skills to the Five Stages of the Process. Building on the basic information and initial practice of skills application from the L1- Trauma and L2-Developmental trainings, the student will see new presentations from Pat Ogden and other SPI Faculty, review clinical application video content, participate in small group discussions, and complete self-directed learning activities using interactive media and provided worksheets to consolidate past learning and refine existing skills for Certification in SP. The Advanced Integrative Training (AIT) course is presented in a hybrid learning format (live with online support), with 108 credit hours provided live. Students are provided with short preparation modules via SPI's online learning system to maximize the opportunities for live practice, feedback, and integration of SP Foundations during the corresponding live meeting modules. The AIT's 6 module format deepens practical application and expands the student's awareness of the following topics: 1. Arousal Modulation and the Body as a Resource (Somatic Resourcing) 2. Orienting and Defensive Responses 3. Current Issue 4. Developmental Memory 5. Expanding Practice 6. Completion Evaluation and Certification in SP: The Advanced Integrative Training in SP is an evaluative course. Completion of Advanced Integrative Training in SP does not guarantee Certification in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Certification is a highly individualized process that may require further work outside of the scheduled hours of the course. SPI is neither a regulatory nor licensing organization and therefore not sanctioned to certify, license, or otherwise bestow the legal authorization to practice as a mental health professional. All other clinicians will receive a Certificate of Attendance. All credit is awarded on a Module-by-Module basis, with full attendance required for the Modules you attend. Applications for continuing education contact hours will be made available by SPI. There is no additional fee to receive continuing education credit. To receive continuing education credit, applicants must complete all CE materials and comply with attendance regulations. The attendee is responsible for determining if CE credit offered by CME Outfitters or The Institute for Continuing Education meets the regulations of their state licensing/certification board. Refund Policy Prerequisites: Successful completion of "Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for Developmental Injury" (Level II) Graduates of the Advanced Integrative course who are awarded "Certification in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy" may use the phrases "Certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy" and "Sensorimotor Psychotherapist" to indicate their achievement. "Certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy" and "Sensorimotor Psychotherapist" are phrases used by Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute(R) to identify Certified Graduates who have achieved competency of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy method and who hold legally accepted credentials in the mental health field. These phrases do not in any way, real or implied, supersede laws governing the legal authorization to practice as a mental health professional.
